About Crystal

Dr. Crystal Coffman is originally from central Pennsylvania. She received her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Misericordia University in 2006, then later completed her Post-Professional Doctorate in Occupational Therapy in 2019.

As an active-duty military spouse, she has served the pediatric community in a variety of capacities over the past 18 years. Highlights include launching an inaugural pediatric clinic for a nonprofit organization in Montgomery, Alabama — including a dedicated multi-disciplinary feeding clinic and a hippotherapy program — leading a team of occupational and speech professionals as director of related services in a charter school for autistic children, and leading a team of OTs and technology specialists in an innovative sensory-based telehealth program. Other experiences include national and international school-based services, animal-assisted support, acute care in a Level IV neonatal intensive care unit, and travel-based work.

She is deeply passionate about relationship- and strengths-based, client-centered care. She believes that all behavior makes sense and is communication. She strives to be trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming in all she does.

Outside of helping families

Other interests.

When she is not supporting children and families, Dr. Coffman and her husband love to travel, hike, bike, and revel in the marvels of childhood while raising their 5- and 2-year-old boys.

I believe that supporting parents is the key to helping children thrive! When parents understand their child's unique strengths and needs, have practical tools to create a supportive environment, and feel confident in their role, the entire family benefits. This approach empowers parents to be the steady foundation their children need to grow and succeed.
