Get to know me
I’m a licensed pediatric occupational therapist with a wealth of experience spanning 17 years. My journey has taken me through sensory-based clinics, virtual care setups, home visits, and educational institutions. But what truly fuels my enthusiasm is sharing the world of sensory processing to enhance the lives of families like yours. I have advanced training in sensory processing, visual-vestibular integration, sensory-based feeding therapy, various auditory interventions, and handwriting.
My personal mission is to make things better and easier for families! In my book, the real magic happens when families and therapists come together. This teamwork holds the key to transforming everyday challenges into remarkable achievements. It’s a partnership that I believe in wholeheartedly. Outside of work, I occupy my time with family, traveling, and discovering new foods. I have two wonderful daughters and reside in Gainesville, FL.
I co-founded Kinspire to create a solution that’s all about collaboration, consistency, and a holistic view of things. It’s more than just a job—it’s a calling I’m devoted to, to ensure that children and families thrive together.
How would you describe your approach to working with families?
My approach is rooted in a neuroaffirming philosophy that respects and celebrates each child’s unique way of experiencing the world. I work holistically, considering not only the child’s strengths and needs but also the parents’ capacity, priorities, and the overall dynamics of family life.
I believe that behavior is a form of communication, and instead of jumping to conclusions, I take the time to understand the underlying reasons, whether that’s sensory, emotional, cognitive, or environmental. By uncovering the root causes, we can create more effective and compassionate strategies.
Education is a core part of my process. I aim to give families a shared understanding of what’s happening, so everyone—parents, caregivers, siblings—can respond with confidence, consistency, and empathy. I also prioritize function and meaning over perfection. If a strategy or goal doesn’t align with what’s meaningful to the family, we pivot. My goal is to help families build routines and strategies that truly work for their life, not someone else’s idea of what it should look like.
What is one of your favorite wins when working with a family using the Kinspire model?
Some of my favorite wins are the simple ones—when a small shift makes a big difference. I love when I can suggest a tiny tweak to a routine the family is already doing, and they come back saying, “That changed everything.” It’s so rewarding to see the relief in a parent’s face when something finally feels doable. These are the moments where you realize that meaningful progress doesn’t always require a total overhaul—just the right insight at the right time. And because the Kinspire model allows us to stay closely connected to families, we can catch those moments in real time and build on them. That’s what makes this work so powerful.

Other Interests
Outside of work, my time is devoted to family, travel, and food. With a sizable family, I cherish every moment spent together. Exploring diverse cultures and places through travel is a passion I indulge in as frequently as I can. Beyond that, I'm passionate about cooking and sharing meals with others; I live to eat and cook for others.

“Kinspire allows me to create a deeper relationship with the families I work with and truly help them in ways I couldn't in a clinic setting.”
