Get to know me

I am a registered and licensed pediatric occupational therapist with diverse experience spanning over 6 years. During my career, I have worked in hospital, outpatient, school, telehealth, and early intervention settings. I have begun my journey of becoming certified in DIR/Floortime, which has changed my entire perspective on connecting with and treating clients. I am also in the process of becoming certified as an executive functions consultant. In addition to these certifications, I have completed continuing education in PDA, sensory integration, postural control, pediatric pelvic floor, nervous system regulation, and emotional regulation.

My mission is to teach every family how to connect with their child at the deepest levels. Connection and relationships are foundational to our sense of belonging, and it can be really damaging if we lack that with our children. I want to help everyone experience their most wholehearted selves. I am passionate about advocacy and empowerment for the neurodiverse community. I have personal and professional experience finding success while navigating neurodiversity. I strongly believe that our individual differences are a gift, and I strive to provide that insight to my clients.

How would you describe your approach to working with families?

I take a very collaborative approach to supporting families. I believe parents are the experts on their own children, and I aim to provide support so they don't feel alone. I think it's vital to be open to learning and growing with each child, as every child and family is different. I find that I learn from them just as they learn from me, and often, my clients become like family to me.

What are you able to accomplish with Kinspire that you couldn’t in a traditional occupational therapy setting?

In previous roles, insurance limitations often restricted me to providing only one or two hours of support per week. This limited time made it challenging to see significant progress.

At Kinspire, I'm grateful to be able to offer unlimited support to families, which truly makes a difference. Additionally, in other settings, I was only able to bill for direct work with the child, not for parent education. I've found that parent education is crucial for lasting change, and at Kinspire, we're able to prioritize and provide this vital support.

What gives you hope when working with children and families facing these challenging diagnoses?

I've been with Kinspire for some time now, and I continue to be filled with hope by what I see. It's truly inspiring to witness the incredible stories of progress and positive results from our work. This is not only inspiring for the parents but also for me as a therapist.

Other Interests

Outside of work, I enjoy spending most of my time outdoors. I live on the coast so I spend a lot of time at the beach, kayaking and swimming. My favorite outdoor activity is soccer; it's been my love since I was 5 years old. When I am not outside, I enjoy traveling and learning through podcasts, TED Talks, and audiobooks. I have many interests, so I am usually engaged in 3-4 audiobooks simultaneously.

"Kinspire has given me a platform to support my clients in every aspect of their lives."
