Get to know me

I'm a licensed pediatric occupational therapist specializing in pelvic health with a focus in constipation, withholding, and day or nighttime leaking. Other practice areas of interest include sensory processing and interoception, nervous system regulation, sensory-based feeding, and reflex integration. One of the greatest gifts of being a pediatric OT is knowing that I am providing children and families with the tools for a lifetime of future success. My therapeutic style uses an encouraging and compassionate approach to help children and families understand their experiences and make improvements in their daily lives. I value a parent coaching model, recognizing the crucial role that caregivers play in the therapeutic process. By empowering parents with knowledge and practical strategies, I aim to ensure that my recommendations extend beyond the screen and make a lasting impact in the child's daily life.

How did your work come to focus on conditions treated by Kinspire clinicians, like ADHD, Autism, and SPD?

I have friends with ADHD, utilize sensory supports myself on a daily basis, and have experienced my own slew of pelvic floor dysfunction throughout adolescence and adulthood. I want children and families to have the tools to make real change on a foundational level, so they feel confident and capable as they enter adulthood. My desire is to erase confusion, shame, and isolation. There is help out there!

How would you describe your approach to working with families?

I would describe my approach as warm, curious, and compassionate. I love to dig deep and explore the underlying ‘why’ of an experience—for children and parents. My role is as a guide and support, enhancing the knowledge and skills you already have as a parent, and navigating how to integrate new information into real, lasting change.

What are you able to accomplish with Kinspire that you couldn’t in a traditional occupational therapy setting?

The lasting change that extends beyond the clinic, class, or screen and into the home. We get to support you on a real-life level—in the meltdown struggle, in the celebrations when your child takes a new risk, in the sibling conflict. You won’t get that in a traditional setting.

Other Interests

When I'm not working, I fill my cup with family and friends. My greatest joy has been watching my daughter grow and develop in her first few years of life. I love a good yoga class or podcast, reality TV is my guilty pleasure, and coffee is my bladder irritant of choice! I also enjoy writing, for both education and entertainment, and would love to publish a book one day.

"Kinspire gives me an opportunity to support the whole family and enables me to dive deep into their real-life, real-time experiences in a way that is not offered in a traditional setting."
