Get to know me

I am a licensed occupational therapist with a specialization in Ayres Sensory Integration and advanced training in trauma-informed care. With extensive experience working with children of all ages and developmental stages, I am passionate about fostering child-caregiver connections and building confidence in my pediatric clients through play. My approach is rooted in the belief that collaboration and rapport with families are essential for effective therapy. By working as a team, we can support each child's growth and development in a holistic and meaningful way.

How would you describe your approach to working with families?

I want to understand what the families value the most, as well as how they see their child. This helps me see their child in the way that they do, as well as work on a shared vision for our treatment plan within the OT program. I focus on a strengths-based approach that involves fun, playful activities in order to support rapport with the child but also to build stronger, more resilient brain pathways that facilitate growth!

What are you able to accomplish with Kinspire that you couldn’t in a traditional occupational therapy setting?

I am able to make more meaningful connections with the caregivers who can carry over the recommended strategies and activities in order to promote more growth and improvement in the settings that mean the most (like home!).

What is one of your favorite wins when working with a family using the Kinspire model?

I had a family share that I was the first professional to actually sit down and help them understand the “why” behind the activities and strategies, which helped her understand her son better.
